Personal and special things

Dear all,

In our first post we are going to talk about personal things that are very important to us. Maybe they were presents from someone special or they remind you of great moments you spent with the people you care about.

Here’s what Luce, Katarina, Marija, Petra and Mia want to share with you on this topic!

MY HANDBAG

My handbag is small and oval shaped. It is made of leather and it is black. I think it is gorgeous and stunning. The first ever modern-day handbag was made in 1841. It was made for carrying things around, but people now have a bunch of them, one for every outfit they wear. Some of the most popular handbag designers are: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Channel. Rich people spend over 100 000 dollars on their designer bags. If I had that much money, I would do that, too.

I have a lot of different kinds of handbags. I got this one for Christmas. It was a present from my grandma. She gave me a lot of handbags, actually she said that she wants me to have them. I keep them in my room and they have a very special place in my heart.

MY PENCIL CASE

Pencil cases can be small or big. It depends on how much space you need to put your stuff in. It doesn’t have a shape because it is soft so it changes shapes. Just like the material and shape, it can be of any colour. Mine is medium sized, it is made of leather and it is bright, shiny and pink. It has a silver zipper and when I open it, it is so loud. I carry it to school and I still don’t want to change it because it is practical and of perfect size and it is full of names and signatures of my friends. There are also many class jokes.

This pencil case is very important to me because it reminds me of the sixth grade and all the funny moments! I got it last year when school started. One day I was just bored at school so I gave my friends a pencil and my pencil case and I told them to write down their names or whatever they wanted! And, still today, they grab my pencil case and write something on it. So just by looking at it, it reminds me of the last year, and I love it because last year was the best! When I look at it I see some old jokes and I just start to smile. For example, the edges are a little bit ruined and dirty because one day we played with it by throwing it to each other! I still bring it to school. I don’t want to give it to anyone, or get rid of it because nobody will ever know what it is about. But I will, and that is really important to me.

MY TROLL

A troll is a doll made for kids to play with. Trolls are recognisable for their hair. It can be in a lot of different colours.

My troll is very old. It is small with long hair. Its hair is red, white and blue. It is wearing a white-and-red dress. Its hair is tied in a pony tail with a green ribbon. You can move its legs.

This troll is special to me because it was my mother’s troll when she was a child, and she gave it to me when I was little. I loved to play with it many years ago. The troll reminds me of my grandma, and how we played with it. We acted that there was a troll city and we were trolls. Not the troll is only a decoration on my shelf. I wouldn’t give it away for all the money in the world. But, I will probably give it to my kid one day.

MY JACKET

This jacket is very cool because it is old-fashioned. It is small and pink. It is a little heavy because it is made of jeans. It is comfortable and bright. It has grey buttons. Most people would wear it because it’s coming back into fashion. It goes well with all combinations, casual or formal. It is very useful when it’s too hot for a thick jacket, but too cold for a T-shirt.

This jacket reminds me of my childhood. My mom made it just for me. It was my favourite. I wore it on every trip or for every walk. Every time I stained it I cried until the jacket was clean again. I wore it when I was three years old, but I still have it. I wouldn’t give it to anyone. I would wear it even now, if it wasn’t so tiny. I still remember that, when it was too hot, I didn’t want to take it off because I felt so good and beautiful in it.

NALA

My favourite stuffed toy is my stuffed cat. I named it Nala.

My stuffed cat is a soft brown-and-white toy. It has cute triangular brown ears and a circle white head with huge dark eyes. It has four tiny legs and an elegant brown tail. It is made of plush and that makes it so soft. I used to play with it a lot when I was younger.

It is special to me because my great-grandpa gave it to me a few weeks before he passed away. It reminds me of him so I keep it in my room, on my bed so I can see it every day.
